Financial Assistance and Employment Program
This program is available to Gold Star/Surviving Spouses (active-duty and service-connected deaths) who would like to apply for the following support:
Grants for a financial hardship - Our Financial Assistance Program is available for Gold Star/Surviving spouses (active duty death and service-connected). The intent of this program is to provide spouses with a last resort option to pay for a service or fee that they would not otherwise be able to make, where all other options have been exhausted. Employment Assistance through Hiring Our Heroes for spouses even considering work options (both remote and in-person). Contact our Admin@thesugarbearfoundation.org for more information. (Registry / Waiver)
Resume Scholarship for spouses who merely need to update or to create one from scratch. (Registry / Application / Waiver)
Financial Counseling for spouses who elect such assistance, want to review specific resources available for their families, or who have applied for a grant. Contact our Admin@thesugarbearfoundation.org for more information. (Registry / Application / Waiver)

If you are interested in any of these opportunities the first step is to
Complete our Registry and submit either the DD1300 or a letter/document showing you qualify for VA benefits.
Submit the required application and waiver. When submitting please send the application, waiver, and all required documents (including the Registry if you have not already) in one email to Admin@TheSugarBearFoundation.org.
